Terms of Service — The Cool Table

Effective date: October 20, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and The Cool Table ("we," "us") for your use of The Cool Table iOS app and the thecooltable.app website. By using them, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Who Can Use It

You must be at least 13 years old to use The Cool Table. The app is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission.

Your Account

• Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.
• Keep your sign-in credentials safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• One person per account. Don't share accounts or create accounts for other people.

Your Content

You own what you post: endorsements, notes, posts, comments, reactions, photos, and your profile. By posting it, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display it in the app and on the website, so we can run the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

When you post, you agree not to:

• harass, threaten, or bully anyone;
• post hate speech or content that attacks people for who they are;
• impersonate another person or business;
• spam, advertise, or post repetitive or automated content;
• make false claims about a business (for example, that it is closed, unsafe, or something it isn't);
• post content you don't have the right to share, including other people's photos; or
• post anything illegal.

The Cool Table is positive-only. There are no public negative reviews or ratings, and you may not use reviews, comments, photos, or anything else to publish one. Attempts to game the scores (fake accounts, coordinated endorsements, endorsing your own business, or paying or being paid for endorsements) are prohibited.

Moderation

We may remove content, or suspend or terminate accounts, that break these terms or that we reasonably believe put others at risk. You can report a comment and block any user from within the app; reports are reviewed by people, not automatically. If you think we made a mistake, email us.

Restaurant Data

Restaurant information (names, addresses, hours, categories, and some photos) comes from Google Places and Foursquare and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. We don't guarantee business hours, menus, prices, or anything else about a restaurant; check with the restaurant before you go. We are not affiliated with, and don't endorse, any restaurant listed in the app.

Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile tab → Settings (gear icon) → DELETE ACCOUNT. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone; it removes your account and the content described in our Privacy Policy. If you can't access the app, email us from your account's email address.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Cool Table is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its information is accurate.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app or website, or from content posted by other users. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. When we do, we'll update the effective date above and post material changes in the app. If you keep using The Cool Table after a change, you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, except where the law where you live gives you rights that can't be waived.
